Long Trip
The sea is a wilderness of waves, A desert of water, We dip and dive, Rise and roll, Hide and are hidden, On the sea, Day, night, Night, day, the sea is a desert of waters, The wilderness of water.
Similes: The sea is a desert of waves.
Theme: The sea is a desert of waves. It’s trying to say the sea is everlasting like a desert. It never stops. It keeps on going. My evidence is ” Day, night” “Day, night”.
Thoughts: The poem is telling me the deserts are like seas and the picture in my mind is like it’s cut in half and one half is the desert being everlasting. Then the other half is the sea being everlasting. That is my thoughts.
P.O.V: 3rd person.
What are your thoughts? What do you think? Is there any more similes? Is there metaphors? What do you think the theme is?
