Q.1 “Explain how Langston built an image for you as the reader?”
I think Langston put the image in my eyes as a reader by first making me think about the
Snow and winter and then he’s makes the Snow and other things that describe winter into candy, sugar, chocolate, and all the other materials that are needed to make candy or chocolate.
Q.2 “Explain the literary devices Langston used (metaphor, simile, rhyme, etc.)”
For most or example it says in the start of the poem it says “the little house is sugar”. Also, for a section of the poem he rhymed pilled with child of the poem I think he mostly used similes and metaphors to transform winter items into different types of candy and treats. For example it says in the start of the poem it says “the little house is sugar”. Also, for a section of the poem he rhymed pilled with child.
Q.3 “choose your favorite line. Why is it your favorite?”
I think my favorite line is “And from his tiny window peeps a maple sugar child” I chose that Quote because it rhymes with the word before it and for me it just sounds so good how the poet Langston Hughes made maple sugar child sound so good!
Q.4 “Explain your opinion of the poem.”
I think the poem “Winter Sweetness” is a very good poem because of how the poet who created this Langston Hughes put the image into my head and made me think about winter turned into a candy land of sugar maple child’s, and sugar The only compliant is how the poem is how it’s very short and I wish it was at least 3 sentences longer, right. now the poem is exactly 2 sentences long. That is very short for a Langston Hughes poem.
