My quote for chapter 11: “Oh, hi mom. How are you? Me? Oh I’m great. I’m just hanging out in the eighteenth century. Behave myself? Don’t worry, mom, George Washington and a few of his friends are here to see that. Home? I don’t know when I’ll be back, but I will come back I promise.” I chose this quote because it was funny it made me laugh a lot in my head, this quote is funny because Matt was pretending that he was calling his mother on the phone from inside his imagination but really he was in the eighteenth century. My reaction for chapter 11: I was kind of just laughing and laughing in my head.

 

My quote for chapter 12:” Together we’ll take care of those hessians. We’re a team, his voice coming into breaking into another cough. I chose this quote because it was a real symbol of friendship because they were going to take care of those mean hessians all together and it was a symbol of leadership because Matt was taking control of this situation and he was telling them all to have each other’s back and he was telling them to care after each other. My reaction for chapter 12: When I was reading this I was like wow maybe sometimes when there’s a problem I could take control of the situation.

 

My quote for chapter 13:” But…but we can’t leave him her alone!” I chose this quote because it was Matt sticking up for Israel and that showed a symbol of friendship because it was Matt telling someone that he did not want to leave Israel behind in the snow freezing and starving!!!!!!!!!!!!!” I chose this quote because it was Matt not wanting to leave Israel behind so Matt was being a really good friend to Israel. My reaction for chapter 13: I was like good job Matt in my head because he did not want to leave Israel behind so Matt was being a great friend.

My quote for chapter 14:” But I can’t leave him! “I chose this quote because it was another symbol of friendship from Matt to Israel so Matt really liked Israel as a friend so Matt and Israel were great friends so Matt kind of liked being in the eighteenth century as long as Israel was there with him. My reaction for chapter 14: I was like good job Matt again because this is another thing he said to somebody about Israel and this shows another reason that Matt really didn’t want to Israel behind cold and starved.

 

My quote for chapter 15:” But you are a patriot, right?” I chose this quote because it was Matt being interested in the man who helped him Matt was curios if he was a patriot or not also I chose this quote because it made me curios of what he was going to say or to answer Matt’s question!!!!!!!My reaction for chapter 15: I was like good question Matt. I thought it was good question because the man that Matt saw Matt didn’t know if he was a patriot of if he’s not.

 

 

My quote for chapter 16:” Katie is she hurt? “I chose this quote because I was so worried if Katie was hurt or if she was taken by the hessians with somebody?????My reaction for chapter 16: I was like is Katie hurt and Matt was being a good brother because Matt was thinking is Katie ok so Matt was caring for his little sister so he was bring a good brother.

My quote for chapter 17:” Blood thirsty.” I chose this quote because I was kind of scared and I was wondering who said that and why did he say that?????My reaction for chapter 17: I was like who said that and why would he or she even say that maybe he said that for a reason!!!!!?????!!!!!?????

My quote for chapter 18:” Wow war paint.” I chose this quote because I was wondering how would they make war paint and why would they need war paint during the actual war!!!!!!!!!!!My quote for chapter 18: I was kind of amazed because you can make war paint with somethings you see a lot when you walk somewhere or at a store!!!!!!!!

My quote for chapter 19:” Sorry Hoot.” I chose this quote because I wondered who said that and what happened to hoot did he fall, get a scratch, start to bleed a little. My reaction for chapter 19: I was kind of like wondered if Hoot was ok or not so I wondered if he got a scratch or if he was bleeding somewhere.

 

My quote for chapter 20:” NO!” I chose this quote because I wondered if somebody got hurt/injured. My reaction for chapter 20: I

 

My quote for chapter 21:” Katie, where are you?” I chose this quote because Matt probably found Katie and the rest of the guys/rest of the club. My reaction for chapter 21: I was like oh thanks goodness they found each other!!!!!!!!!!!

 

 

My quote for chapter 22:” That’s right, we were.” I chose this quote because they were probably thinking of a way to get home without one of their parents noticing they were all gone!!!??!!????!!!!????!!!!!!!!??????????!!!!??My reaction for chapter 22: I was like good job because the whole club was creating a way to get home so they combined the things they all knew and probably found their way home (Out of the eighteenth century)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My quote for chapter 23:” Pass me the sugar, will you, son?” I chose this quote because at the beginning of the story Matt put peas in the sugar bowl what will he do next I what I was imaging in my mind!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!My reaction for chapter 23: I was like OMG what is Matt going to do will he pass the sugar bowl to his dad or is he not going to pass the sugar bowl to his dad or will he break the sugar bowl or will he make up a great excuse leave with sugar bowls and then take the peas out of the sugar bowl and bring the sugar bowl back to his dad what will Matthew (Or for short Matt) do.
