By: AA JJ My reaction to chapter 11 is worried because the adventure club does not know where they are and how to get home. I picked the quote “Matt imagined he was talking to his mom on the phone .That quote made me feel bad for them because they might not go back home. My reaction to chapter 12 is scared because a bad storm has stroke. I picked the quote “Henry, why is your coat red? Isn’t that the color of the enemy? That quote shows me that it is scary because the soldiers on General George Washington’s side will think Henry is a Hessian.  My reaction to chapter 13 is sad because Matt’s friend “ Israel” had died . I picked the quote “And, oh, yeah, Batman. I’ve got to tell you about Batman. See, there’s this guy, Bruce Wayne, who’s living in Gotham city… are you listening, Israel ?”My reaction to chapter 14 is happy because the adventure club found a place to stay while they were in the 18^th century. I picked the quotes “Wake up! Wake up, son. Come now, it’s no time for sleeping, and I’m getting up, dad. I am,” Matt mumbled, with his eyes still closed. That made me happy because Matt was feeling at home. My reaction to chapter 15 is confused because Mr. Hornbee said to Matt that he is too young to talk about the war. I picked the quote “ You are too young to be having to make sense of this war business, though in truth even an old man such as myself can little understand it.” I can’t believe he said that and the adventure club read a story about the war. My reaction to chapter 16 is scared because the adventure club went on a creepy trail with Blackjack. I picked the quote “ It sure is creepy in here, Blackjack” Matt whispered as he and the old mule made their way further along the trail. The noises they heard were scaring them. My reaction to chapter 17 is freaked out because it said “ He paused looking for Tony and hooter then Matt walked over to the Indians. My reaction to chapter 18 is glad because the Indians risked their lives. I picked the quote “Sh… sh…”one of the Indians suddenly whispered, because they heard the hessians coming. My reaction to chapter 19 is sad because the nice Hessian [Gustav] got shot by the bad Hessians. I picked the quote “ No! Hooter screamed. “Gustav! Gustav! ”because Hooter was his best friend. My reaction to chapter 20 is sad because the members of the adventure club was about to go to prison. I picked the quote “So, were dealing with some tory spies, are we? I chose that quote because it showed me that the adventure club was in real danger and the soldier took them as a spy. The kids almost went to prison. They were so close to getting home and not be in war. My reaction to chapter 21 is shocked because I thought the adventure club wouldn’t be able to get home. The quotes “Time travel” and “Don’t you remember how we all fell under its spell as soon as we saw it?” Those quotes meant that the boat time traveled them to the 18^th century. My reaction to chapter 22 is happy because they found a way to time travel back home. I picked the quote “Maybe it’s some kind of secret message that we were meant to find” because that is a way to get back home. My reaction to chapter 23 is glad because they finally got home. I picked the quote “Home sweet home” because the club thought they were not going to make it.
