Edgar’s Death By Sophie, Nick, Alaina, and Rachel

Things were starting to just get back together for him, when Edgar died.  He was just getting over Virginia’s death, and had a successful lecture tour in the South.  Dying this way is much like many of his poems, starting out happy and ending with death and darkness. His death was bad. I think it was very unfortunate that he died because he was finally getting over the death of Virginia. Edgar Allen Poe’s death was upsetting, he was just getting better. And who knows maybe his life would have gotten happier if he didn’t die but I don’t think that would’ve happened because common it’s Edger Allen Poe. I think it was very unfortunate for Poe because he accomplished his dream of owning a literary journal, but it failed within a short amount of time with the amount of criticism . Also something that made Poe’s life worse was when Virginia died. But then he started to make plans for the future but unfortunately he died which made me really sad because his life started to get better but then he died which was upsetting for me and unfortunate for Edgar Allan Poe. I think it was really sad and devastating that he was starting to put his life back together but then he just died. Maybe if he hadn’t died his life would have become happier and would of met a great woman and have a happily ever after. But instead people will remember him as a dark poet who died early. They won’t remember him as someone who put his life back together, that had a sad life that he turned around and made happy. From my point of view his life was sad and depressing.
